Integrating assistive technologies for caregivers to better mange the care of their loved-ones will become more important for busy families who have to take on the role of caregiver.
Everyday we learn about new technological advances. However, caregivers and their senior loved-ones don’t have to wait for the development of new technology to make things easier at home. There are many simple, relatively inexpensive modifications that can be made to the home to help make life easier, such as installing raised toilet seats, or hand-held shower nozzles, or even adding a few handrails or grab bars.
Ideally, when possible, most seniors would rather age in their own home.
With early planning and budgeting, a person can successfully age-in-place.
